For this design I was tasked with taking a product box I felt was in need of improving and redesign it. I chose the Oakley sunglasses box shown in the thumbnail above. As you can see, it is a simple design. I decided to create a much more fun, bright, and eye catching design using images I had taken on vacation and also images I shot of the glasses to use in my design. The original box also had a label that would be printed off and stuck in which I found unflattering, so I decided to incorporate it into the design to make it appear as part of the image and give the design a finished feel.

During the design process, I needed to create a dieline of the product box so I could recreate it exactly. I had to disassemble the original box and draw it to scale so I knew where to put my designs. In the image below, you will see the full box design and also the measurements and cut lines. Once the design was finalized, I printed the box and constructed it to get a realistic final product.

Below are the images I used in my design. I took the images myself. The 2 on the sides were taken on my trip to Oregon and the glasses shots were taken at my home. I could not think of a better way to incorporate some of my trip photos into my design.
